- Korea Hanbok Festival

The event is designed to encourage more Koreans to wear the country’s traditional costume and enhance their love of things uniquely Korean as part of the efforts made by the Ministry Culture, Sports and Tourism to commercialize and globalize the six leading items, i.e. Hangeul (Korean alphabet), hansik (Korean traditional food), hanbok (Korean clothes), hanok (Korean traditional house), hanji (Korean traditional paper) and hanguk eumak (Korean traditional music).
The event includes: ▲ Hanbok Fashion Show & Beauty Pageant in Hanbok, ▲ Child Beauty Pageant in Hanbok, ▲ Hanbok Designer Collection, ▲ Design Contest for Hanbok Made with New Materials, ▲ Hands-on Experience of Hanbok for Children, etc.
It is both a festivity for existing hanbok designers and an opportunity for young designers to publicize themselves.

- Korean Traditional Clothes Beauty Contest

With the focus on the beauty and practicality of the country’s traditional costume, the annual event selects prize winners (gold, silver, bronze and honorable mention) in two sectors: traditional hanbok adopting various designs for the four seasons and everyday hanbok stressing creative and unique designs.
The event also includes performances and a hanbok fashion show participated in by famous entertainers, the heads of local government offices, and the representatives of sponsoring companies.

Visitors can have a good time appreciating the esthetic quality made by gracefully curved lines of hanbok and the pleasant atmosphere of the event.
