Home>Hanok>Things to Know

- This village is located at the boundary between Asan City and Cheonan City of Chungcheongnam-do. It has a long shape from the east to the west, with Mt. Seolhwasan in the background.
- It seems that the entire Oeam-ri traditional village is surrounded by a grand stone wall, and it totals 5,000m in length. This wall was randomly built with natural stones, and recognized as the most beautiful wall in Korea, together with Naganeupseong Fortress of Seungju, Jeollanam-do. The village has its uniqueness in its wall, and streams meandering along every corner of the village. Every house has its own pond. This village with over 60 houses shows the vivid lifestyle of ancient Koreans. In particular, there are over 10 tile-roofed houses in the village, which are usually 100 to 200 years old, which show the housing structure of the upper class of Korea at the time.
