- Seoul Topokki Festival

The event is designed to shed a new light on the tteokboki industry to invite persons and companies engaged in this industry to hold relevant exhibitions and events. The festival is also organized to provide a foundation to globalize the tteokboki industry.
Held under the theme ‘Opening of an Era of Globalized Tteokboki’ and the slogan ‘Adding a Unique Taste to the World Food Market,’ the annual event is participated by an array of relevant businesses and visited by an average of 50,000 people each year.
The following will be promoted during the event: ▲Stories concerning tteokboki, ▲ Stories about rice, ▲ Relevant processing businesses, ▲ Relevant machinery, and ▲ Rice processing industry. A specially prepared franchise corner and tteokboki road provides food tasting to visitors. Other events include the ‘World Tteokboki Cooking Contest’ and ‘UCC (User Created Contents) Festival.’

- Seoul International Tourism and Food Expo

Seoul International Tourism and Food Expo is the largest hansik related event that is organized to promote the excellence of our traditional food to Koreans and foreigners.
Held under the slogan of ‘Globalization of Korean foods’ and ‘Utilization of local foods as tourism resources,’ the event provides visitors an opportunity to look at the past and present local cuisines.
During the event, various culinary competitions and food related exhibitions are held. Also, the culinary competitions that allow visitors to enjoy cuisines being cooked on-site are very popular events.
There are also various events such as Folk Dance Performances and Food Culture Exhibitions that provide information and technology related to Korean and overseas cooking, food culture trends, Korean food culture and the food industry in general.

- Korea Food Expo

This event, designed to promote the country’s traditional foods worldwide, has caught the attraction of visitors at a time when the world is concerned with substances in our food such as melamine and toxic carcinogens. Korea’s largest annual festival of agricultural products is held at the aT Center and the Citizen’s Forest in Yangjae-dong, Seoul. Held under the theme of ‘Healthy Foods, Beautiful Foods,’ it shows how the country’s agricultural products have developed from the past to present, and displays materials concerning rural areas.
At events held at the Citizen’s Forest, visitors are invited to take part in activities such as making foods and milking cows, providing them an opportunity to recognize the values of farming and experiences in agrarian villages. As an event that has integrated 19 previously held events into one, it offers five themes - color, scent, look, feel and joy.
